DIY Modern Business Cards

I am not a graphic designer, and certainly don’t claim to be. But I do know my way around photoshop and illustrator and was able to quickly create a temporary business card. I didn’t want to use a standard template from word or office depot, as they don’t fit for a designer of any kind, so I spent a little time roaming around Michaels to see what I could come up with. I ended up finding some great craft punches by Recollections, which are offered in many different shapes and sizes. This turned out to be the perfect tool for creating DIY business cards! Check out my tutorial below, and the template is available to download for free here:

The finished product, front & back! Sorry to blur out my phone number.

The thickest cardstock I could find was 110lb, but it still felt quite flimsy. So I simply printed the front and back on two separate sheets and adhered them together with spray adhesive. Let set for 15 minutes before punching.

Once the adhesive has set, carefully punch away!

A modern and unique DIY business card! Feel free to contact or comment with any questions.
